An Introduction to Dimensions CM Build
Lovell & Mercier, Inc., supported by Emagine IT, is pleased to announce the next in the "Optimizing Your Investment in Dimensions CM" series of free technical seminars specially developed for Serena Dimensions CM users. This is not a marketing or sales presentation. The seminar will also be available via WebEx, however you must register for the seminar to obtain the WebEx login information. Also note, a CD containing additional seminar materials and sample Build configurations and example code will be available free of charge to those attending the seminar in person.
Dimensions CM is a robust Change/Configuration Management tool that is available on a wide range of platforms and includes an "Out-of-the-Box" build management framework. Dimensions Build provides the capability to automate build processes natively, but can also be configured to manage software builds through existing build tools. Dimensions Build can provide the level of consistency and repeatability required for software builds, and has the flexibility to be integrated with any style of development. This seminar will introduce attendees to the Serena Dimensions Build functionality, and give you basic instruction on how to get started using this capability. Examples provided during the seminar will give you a solid basis to configure Dimensions Build for your software projects.
You will walk away from the Seminar with: A) an understanding of the Dimensions CM build tool, B) knowledge of how to use the Dimensions Build to automate and manage software build natively, C) knowledge of how to use the Dimensions Build to automate and manage and software build using Ant, and D) for those attending the seminar in person, a CD containing examples of all of the capabilities demonstrated at the seminar.
